We have been cooperating with Platon since 2011. During our cooperation, we have been regularly surprised with different approach to dealing with standard issues. As an example, let 's say that Apache webserver
was the typical choice for us. The word "choice" is not totally in place because we did not even consider other solutions and considered them to be marginal. Platon suggested us that instead of using the combination of Apache2+mod_php, we should use excellent combination of nginx+PHP-FPM, which we have been using since then in other projects.
Another example of a different approach was to divide the servers into a database server and a web server. Instead, Platon came up with a cluster design where the servers are equivalent. This solution convinced us of the lower risk of a downtime: servers are able to substitute each other, while our original design has made the risk of error just multiplied.
For most providers, you feel like you are one of many, and any demand that deviates from the services offered is problematic for them. In Platon you get an individual solution that is often better than you actually want :-)
